Positive: The hut itself was absolutely beautiful, modern furnishings and gorgeous decor. It had everything you needed and yes, the standard add ons of fresh sourdough, milk and chocolates were absolutely lovely and appreciated. The little wood burner and radiators kept the place warm and even though described as not very hot shower, it was more than hot enough. The information pack with lots of subcategories was great and we used it for walking recommendations.

Negative: Instead of booking the Nether Farm barn which was much larger and actually cheaper, we specifically chose to book the hut due to its hottub so we could relax in it to see in the New Year, rather than go out for tea etc. We knew it would be cold, but a ‘hot’ tub, takes that bite away. Unfortunately we could not get the hottub to go past 32 degrees, despite it being able to go up to 40 and given written instructions. So we sadly had to scrap that plan with it being too cold, which dampened our New Year’s Eve. We know it’s not always provided with some places, but we thought with it being an up market farm and the significant time of year there would potentially be some added additionals - A small bottle of fizz to even a pack of cards or some board games. Yes, we were notified we could text or call, but by the time we were in the hottub, it was far too late and was necessarily an emergency so didn’t want to do so after 10pm. We also thought the hut would be a little more private from the other accommodations, so being in ear shot of other’s conversations wasn’t ideal. Perhaps we should have done a little more research.
