Perched on a dune above the beach, this artistically designed house has panoramic views that bring the ocean to you. The fully stocked kitchen opens into the spacious "great room" with a boveda ceiling, wrap around windows, and fireplace. The adjoining balcony is a perfect place for reading, cocktails, viewing the beach below and just hanging out. It's also an ideal spot for watching the osprey and pelicans flying. The bedroom on the entry level has a queen bed and an adjoining bath/shower. Downstairs is the "open" middle bedroom with two twin beds and opens directly out to an exterior deck. This open/twin bedroom is not a private room. Adjacent to the open/twin bedroom is the master bedroom with a king size bed and ensuite bath/shower with ocean views and a private patio space. Both bedrooms downstairs open to an expansive deck with a private stairway to the beach. Down the stairway to the beach is a palapa where you can spend the day by the beach, shaded from the sun and cooled by the ocean breeze. The house has a two car garage and a roof/stardeck ideal for night-sky-gazing. There is WiFi, a TV for streaming, and the DVD player in the great room.

Summary: I took my son (11) & our dog to RP to escape Phoenix and enjoy a few days on the beach. I prefer Las Conchas over the resorts and came across the Starship Beach house when looking for a perfect, dog friendly house to enjoy for a week. The house was perfect for us. I loved that the kitchen was open to the living room and dining table, all with massive windows looking down to the beach. We’d open the windows and door when it cooled down and let the ocean breeze in and loved listening to the waves!The king bed in the master suite was super comfortable. It did take me a few nights to realize that the tv in the master was a smart TV and we could actually watch Netflix in that room :) I thought it was only set up to the DVD player. The house had everything we needed and for anything we didn’t already have or bring with us, there’s a new super Walmart just outside of the Las Conchas community and super convenient for picking up anything else that we needed during the week. The direct access to the beach was so nice. It’s a super peaceful area of the beach (only one house was occupied next to us so that might’ve helped) and I was able to bring our dog out and throw the ball and let her run without anyone else really being too close to distract her. The tide does come in very quickly and comes in almost to the wall, so having the palapa was so nice to sit and relax under when the tide was in. Alison and Michael the host were just amazing! Very communicative and helpful.
