Positive: TURKISH HOSPITALITY AT ITS FINEST Wish to experience warm, exceptional Turkish hospitality first hand ? Then we highly recommend this Small House apartment adjacent to/just below the host’s apartment in central Konak area of Izmir which is the main central district of Izmir, Turkey. With two rooms this house is very suitable for a solo traveller or a couple with at the most one or two very small children. We spent 18 lovely days here in October 2025 and in all those days with the welcome, the care and the warmth that myself and my wife received from our hosts Erhan and Shenai we were simply overwhelmed. This accommodation is very clean and equipped with all things one needs during a stay. It has a fully equipped kitchen, modest shower room and toilet with all the necessary toiletries and a washing machine. The internet connection is also quite good. Nearby there is small modestly stocked shop where one can buy bottled water, Ayran yoghurt drink, some fresh bread and other miscellaneous food items. This Small House is also ideally situated. Just a short walk and across on the opposite side after crossing the main road is the Archaeological Museum of Izmir which can be reached within 4 or 5 minutes walk from this house. The house is also about 7 to 8 minutes’ walk to the centre of Konak – the Konak Square and Clock Tower and the famous Kemeralti Bazaar where you can find anything that you can think of. Just a walking distance from Kemeralti Bazaar is the Agora Open Air Museum showing the dug up remains of the ancient city of Smyrna which was what Izmir was known in the ancient times. The hosts offered all possible help with any help we needed including the Izmirim Karts (Cards) to enable us to explore Izmir cheaply by tram, metro train, buses or ferry. Highly recommended.
