Summary: The cabin was perfect for my wife and me to have disconnected time to catch up on rest, laughs, and books. William came and chatted with us shortly after we arrived to introduce himself and provide some more fire starters. He gave us the history of the cabin, the property, and the area which was fascinating.We stayed three nights with varying weather each day. The cabin was warm and just cozy enough without feeling trapped. We visited Knights Gambit, ate Bodo's Bagels, had a nice dinner at C&O, and chilled out next to the fireplace. Harris Teeter is 15 minutes away for all your grocery needs. It feels like you're really out there but in reality, you are 10-15 minutes from restaurants, grocery, winery, ABC, etc. Keep in mind the bed is a full bed, so if you're used to a California king, get ready for snuggle time.If you are looking for a quiet getaway that is still close enough to anything you'd want or need, this is your spot for sure. William is responsive and attentive to your stay, and is a genuine guy that just wants the best experience possible for you. I am sure the spring/summer is even better with the pool and fires at the pavilion. We will be back for sure!
