Positive: Everything. We stayed at Boutique Hotel Puerta Azul in November and would definitely recommend this place. We received outstanding service throughout our stay. The hotel was clean, well maintained, and set in a picturesque garden right by the beach, with a long pier leading to the coral reef. The hotel is located in a calm area, away from the lively, crowded, and noisy tourist spots. We personally didn’t spend much time on the hotel’s beach, as we were busy diving during the day, but we did enjoy using the SUP and kayak, which are free to rent from the hotel. The food was delicious, and we will truly miss everyone from the staff. The owner is a fantastic person who genuinely cares about his guests. We had a couple of nice conversations with him. It’s a great place for those who want to stay away from the crowds and truly relax, or for those who rent a car and occasionally go to the center for more options, then return to unwind in the evening and enjoy the peaceful mornings. You really feel close to nature here. There is also a local bus service nearby, although we didn’t try it, and a small shop within a short walking distance. The hotel guests are not here by coincidence - they choose this place deliberately, which also makes it a wonderful place to meet interesting people.
