Positive: The host was very friendly, spoke great English, and kindly welcomed us into his place. The room was separate from the family living space so we had quiet and privacy. The host ensured we were well cared-for, provided us with extra blankets, a kettle, and encouraged us to ask for anything we needed. He also helped us to find a restaurant in town where we could get good vegetarian food. It's important to note that there was no shower head and the shower was bucket-style - there was hot water so it's a good opportunity to try this as long as you're open to having a new experience.
Negative: The communication was lacking a bit as the host is new to the booking platform and hadn't received our booking, and didn't respond via WhatsApp message or call in advance of our arrival. They noted they are adjusting to the system so this should change in the future, but it's good to be aware of just in case - if no response try a regular phone call or just show up and you will be welcomed.
