Positive: The apartment is very new and modern and nicely equipped with some stylish but at the same time cozy furniture. The rooftop is a great place to chill and enjoy the splendid view of the ocean. Especially in the evening, seeing the sun going down on the horizon of the sea. Besides the private plunge pool on the rooftop, there is also a shared pool downstairs right next to the house. Car can be parked on dedicated space right in front of the house which is nice. Beds were comfortable, and the 2 bathrooms with the showers are also well done. Nice kitchen with large fridge and freezer and modern appliances. Twice a week, the cleaning lady comes and she does a phenomenal job, she's a real jewel!! Once a week, the pool guy comes by and cleans the pool. The house is ideally located right next to Mont Choisy Beach but also the public beach of Trou aux Biches is only like 2 min away by car.
Negative: When we arrived, there were only 2 rolls of toilet paper and no tabs for the dishwasher and also no detergent to do the laundry. We would generally expect from an apartment of this size and price range to offer sufficient supplies to last for the entire stay (we booked it for 3 weeks). This is by no means a big cost burden for the landlord, but a much appreciated convenience for the guests as you don't have to go shopping for these things right after arrival. After some message exchange, they brought sufficient toilet paper as well as the dishwasher tab. The detergent, we had already bought if by ourselves in the meantime. We've been to many, similarly priced apartments all across the worland most of them even had a coffee machine with a certain amount of pads available. Now this didn't matter to us as we don't drink coffee, just saying. Very basic kitchen stuff like salt, pepper etc. would also be nice if there were some. If you are there on workation, just like I was, be aware that in the afternoon, it can get quite hot in the living room as the AC units are only located in the two bedrooms. The living room features a large window front facing west, which is great, but as a downside, it can get really bright and hot in the afternoon. So if there's a possibility to add some shading, that would come in very handy. There were two nights where the power went out. The good thing... they have a generator. The bad thing... it is pretty loud, especially if you're in the master bedroom, so it might interrupt your sleep as the sound insulation of the building is only mediocre at best. Here, a proper acoustic enclosure covering the generator could reduce the noise just enough so it's no longer a nuisance. Are these negative points a deal-breaker?
