Travel Purpose: business

Positive: The location was great, only 5 min walk to the main street and 10 min to the beach. All restaurants etc were on a short walking distance. The apartment was functional and has all the facilities one could expect to host 4 people. Wifi was excellent and we really appreciated airport transfer arranged by the host. We didn't miss a pool because we could swim on the beach every day. We loved late checkout that was kindly offered by the host. The neighborhood was quiet and safe, and there is a fantastic restaurant just around the corner, Pidrinha.

Negative: Terrace didn't exist in practice, one couldn't use it as a terrace. But the main reason why we didn't give 10 but 9 was communication with the host. The communication didn't exist until a few days before departure, it is, we wrote messages via Booking.com, WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram but no response. We weren't sure if the apartment and host existed at all (there are no proper street addresses in Santa Maria, so we also didn't know where to go from the airport). We started looking for alternatives already but finally she replied and everything worked out very well.

Summary: Excellent stay, highly recommended. Best price-quality ratio we've ever had.
