Steeped in charm & perfectly preserved, rich in beautiful, carefully restored typical buildings, the picturesque Burgundian village of Cortevaix nestled in the heart of the Cluny countryside at the foot of a gentle mountain sheltering a vast wild forest massif (with a "panoramic belvedere" in its summit), in the hollow of the green Guye valley (and its fish-filled river), benefits from a magnificent landscaped setting, combining vast plateaus of bocage & vineyards and has a biotope protected in ZNIEFF for its rich fauna & flora, equipped with a 6 km "discovery trail" ("limestone lawns", rare rural ecosystem of "dry lawns" typical of Burgundy, locally called "teppes").
