Welcome to the completely renovated, 100 year old, shotgun style house located in the Shelby Park/Germantown neighborhood! The entire house is yours! Centrally located to all of Louisville's hotspots, you'll find that you are within 5 miles from anything you want to do-- Restaurants, local shops, bars/breweries, Six Flags, Nulu, Bardstown Road, Frankfort Avenue, Churchill downs, the YUM! Center, Waterfront Park, Logan Street Market, and so much more! 2 BR, 1.5 bath, plus a queen sofa bed.
The space:
This house was designed to be a home away from home! Gas stove, microwave, dish washer, coffee pot (coffee provided), toaster, and full set of pots/pans/cookware.
Please read this ENTIRELY: Children and pets are welcome! I only ask that you respect the space and be sure pets and children are supervised to prevent damages to the property. I likely would love your pet as much as you do, but PLEASE, no animals on ANY furniture. There is a fully fenced back yard. Front yard has a knee high fence so prefer not to let your animals out front without supervision. You are responsible for picking up your pets waste. Additional fees will apply if left in the yard. Please do not allow your dogs to bark for extended periods out of respect for neighbors.
Included for your stay: travel size shampoo and body wash per guest, laundry detergent on site, coffee/creamer/sugar, paper towels, dishwasher detergent, cleaning supplies, towels and washrags, hair dryer, toilet paper, bedding/pillows.
Full access to the house except one locked closet in the front bedroom for housekeeping supplies. The back bedroom has a cellar door in the floor by the bathroom. It is used for storage and houses the furnace and hot water heater. Please only enter the cellar if there is inclement weather/tornado warning.
Please use the backyard all you want. (No digging by dogs, please). If you are accompanied by your pets, you are responsible for cleaning up all pet waste in the yard. Please place in a baggie and into the black trash bin located in the alley just behind the house. Any fee charged by the lawn service for your pet waste removal will be passed along to you. Patio furniture and grill have been placed in storage for the winter months.
IMPORTANT: The rear entrance/exit to the house does NOT have a handrail due to some updates coming in the spring. If you or someone in your group relies on a handrail to ascend/descend steps, please do not use this door. You can access the backyard through the side gate. Please also be very careful on the back patio. It has some cracks and is uneven which can make it hard to navigate for some. There is also a drain that, if covered by leaves, may be hard to see and can be a tripping hazard.
This property is fairly close to the airport and UPS Worldport Facility. Sometimes due to weather or other circumstances, they change the flight pattern which may cause planes to fly overhead during the day or night. It is usually only for a day or so. If this happens, you may want to consider an app that plays white noise while sleeping at night.
House Rules:
There is not a garbage disposal on the kitchen sink. PLEASE, Make sure all food and scraps go in the garbage can rather than down the drain.
The cutting board, pots/pans are not dishwasher safe. Please wash these items by hand :)
Please ONLY flush toilet paper.
Quiet hours are between 10pm-6am. I like my neighbors, please help me maintain a good relationship with them :)
