Positive: We loved everything about our stay at Laura's place. The house is set back into a wooded area with nice views of woodland, and it is very quiet. It is about 1 minute walk from the lake, down a dedicated path. There are two large and comfortable beds (no doors between rooms, by the way, in case this would be a problem). For two of us it was extremely comfortable. Laura's Mum was a fantastic host (she lives in the big house at the same address). One evening she helped us into the little rowing boat which was provided, then when we returned she had glasses of bubbly for us waiting! We then had a lovely evening of conversation with her. It felt like she cared very much about her guests needs, and we truly had a wonderful time. Laura herself was extremely communicative, and very helpful when we wanted to extend our stay by one night. Overall, we recommend this wholeheartedly to anybody who wants a retreat in the countryside.
Negative: Nothing -- we liked everything! (Note -- because it's the countryside there are quite a lot of creepy crawlies! This didn't affect us, but you might not like it if you don't like spiders).
