Summary: A nice boutique hotel. My wife and I had a nice stay over a long-weekend visit. Madera is conveniently located to great restaurants and 10-min walk to metro stations in Dupont Circle. Hotel staff was pleasant and helpful. Rooms were modern and clean. Bed was comfortable. I appreciated the blackout shade and fan that stays on high (great white noise). Hotel amenities were also appreciated, including filtered water stations (including carbonated) on every floor and welcome cocktails at the adjacent Firefly restaurant. There were also complimentary bath robes, safe, and umbrella in our room.
