Positive: The main room was pleasant and bright, the sofas were comfortable and the kitchen was clean and well equipped. There were fresh flowers, milk and a bottle of wine as a welcome pack which was much appreciated.
Negative: The location was quite remote and easy to miss due to a lack of visible signage. An illuminated house name at the entrance would have helped, especially at night when it is VERY dark indeed! It certainly is not located in Steyning, it’s 4 miles away. Inside, the main room was a good space. It was very hot when we arrived so some heating instructions would have been helpful. The family bathroom had no shelving so there was nowhere to place toiletries etc., a shower caddy would have been useful too. A few small body wash and shampoo bottles would have been very welcome too! We thought that the twin-bedded room was a bit like a cell - dark and dingy, so perhaps some brighter lighting would help. We were also a bit shocked to find hornets flying around the main room during the evenings, and we had quite a job trying to get rid of them. We wondered if they might be nesting in the roof just above the lounge door.
Summary: Adequate for a few days but it needs some improvements to make it more comfortable.
