Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: The area was fairly quiet and not far from Troon, Largs and other sights to visit. There was plenty of space for our family gathering and lots of parking. We liked the Table Tennis (we could have done with some bats!), the beds were comfy.
Negative: The property was a little tricky to find. Our SatNav didn't always take us to the right location. It was a bit strange having other people park right outside Garnock House and going for walks from there. It didn't feel very private. Each house kitchen was well equipped but the main kitchen in the communal area didn't have much crockery, cutlery or utensils. Also a lot of the cooking pans and trays were very dirty and grubby. We had to go out and buy some new ones in order to do our cooking. We were unable to work the gas cooker in the main kitchen - the instructions weren't very clear.
Summary: Basic but spacious accommodation, good for large groups
