Summary: Fairview Inn in Talkeetna is a delightful small older (1923) hotel. The room and shared bathrooms were immaculate. The bed was comfy. Heat adequate for the room. Rooms are second floor w steep old time steps, no elevator available. Parking is adequate. A nice touch is that disposable earplugs are provided as the second floor is over the bar and restaurant which appears to be a town gathering spot. They were unnecessary as it was nicely quiet in our room. Staff was friendly and helpful. We ate supper there which was delicious altho pricey for the amount of food. We stayed at the end of the tourist season, a plus and minus. Talkeetna is a tiny town so not a lot of options.
