To get there you will walk through a beautiful path from the house.
Renovations: in 2024-2025: the kitchen and the parquet floors in the bedrooms and their doors. In 2025: the terrace was raised, the staircase from the ground floor was modified, large windows were installed and the roof was completely renovated in 2025.

THE HEATING IS PUT FROM MIDDLE OCTOBER UNTIL THE BEGINNING OF APRIL: 20 DEGREES (Measure imposed by the Spanish government this year according to the energy sobriety plan).
On the street. Paid parking from June 15th until September 15th on the street near the accommodation. ( Free from 20:00 until 10:00 in the morning). Possibility to put a car in the garage. THE REST OF THE YEAR FREE PARKING ON THE STREET."
Between June 15 th and September 15 th, the city of SOMO charges for parking in the city center and in the surrounding streets with blue lines.
Parking on the street in front of the house may become difficult.
Possibility to park a car in the garage but also in the nearby streets without a blue line on the ground.
If you like surfing this is a good house for you . You have a big garage to leave your surfboards or wetsuits ,the garden is provided with a hoose to clean your equipment..
The best of all is that the beach , skate park , surf shops, and the Famous Center Receptor de Surf (the first in Spain) are only five minutes from the house.
We have a beautiful 6 kilometres long sandy beach only 250 metres from the house.
The city of Santander can be reached either by car or by a shuttle boat in 20 minutes; the mountains are 15 kilometres away. The surrounding area is very quiet and green. Anything you may need to purchase can be found in the village centre, just 200 metres from the house.
A small bonus: the television can pick up the main English channels!
Ideally located to visit all the places of interest in the region.
You have internet free in the village only five mn walking from the house.

Somo and the surroundings
Somo is a coastal of Cantabria with a few magnificent beaches in which you will be able to enjoy walking, practising surf, kitesurf... There is several schools of surf and the Center of Surf.
Nearby places of interest to visiting are the Park of the Nature of Cabárceno, Santillana of the Sea, Inverted commas, Noja, Bilbao.
Somo is a tourist zone that offers a great variety of services and equipments
This is essentially a tourist town, which has sprung up around the open beach that faces Santander.But Somo is perhaps better known for being the Pottery Town, rather than for its beautiful beach. Several craft workshops have been established here, all of which produce excellent ceramic work.
As for local cuisine,the region,Ribamontán al Mar, specialises in delicious fish grills.
In addition to art and cuisine, the municipality is also excellent for surfing and windsurfing at the beaches in Somo.
There are other marvellous beaches like: La capilla (200 m), Langre (850 m:one of the most beautiful in Cantabria), Arnillas (100 m), La Canalema (150 m), La Canal (200 m), El Machón (200 m), Puntal and Loredo.
Along the coast of Cantabria there are more than 60 different beaches. You could visit a different one each day for two months without repeating. Large, small, urban, rural, quietly enclosed or open to the Cantabrian Sea: all of them have fine white sand and crystal clear water.
Santander and the region
You must visit Santander and just a few kilometres away is the Dunas Liencres Natural Park, the most extensive dune system in the whole of the Cantabrian coast. To the south of the bay is the Peña Cabarga Park, and from the summit of Peña Cabarga itself you are treated to an impressive view of practically the whole of Cantabria. The Carbárceno Natural Park, the biggest zoo in Europe, where you can see tigers, elephants, giraffes, hippos and much more. The enclosures are so big it is almost as if the animals were in the wild.

Here's some informations:
1) NO NOISE or possibility of being in THE TERRACE from 10:30 p.m.
This is a condominium.
2) If you wish to smoke, it is possible in front of the main door of the house and outside but NO SMOKING IN THE HOUSE.
3) Please close the shutters in winter in the evening to keep the heat in the house.
4) Do not eat or drink in the bedrooms.
5) Do not move furniture or objects in the house from one room to another.
6) Always leave a double plastic bag in the trash.
7) Leave the doors of the bathrooms and toilets. open after use.
8) Leave the kitchen tidy and no dirty dishes in the sink the day you leave.
9) You must leave the contents of the trash can in the containers at the end of the street on the day of your departure.
STARTING INSTRUCTIONS:
1) Throw away trash
You must throw the contents of the trash can and the contents of the “plastic-paper” bag into the containers next to the main street.
2) Turn off lights if you are not in rooms and appliances
3) Please lower ALL fuses at the entrance. Next to the main door.
4) Return the keys by putting them in the secure key box if you leave before the cleaning lady arrives.
