Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: It was set in a housing estate and felt like home. It had everything we needed with personal touches like a book case and a basket of goodies. The shower room was quirky in style and inviting. We valued the washing machine and an excellent airing cupboard in the boiler space. The bed was quite soft and would suit many, though we like a firm mattress. The kitchen was superb and the sitting room/dining room homely. It was warm on arrival and remained comfortable throughout our stay.
Negative: It didn't have a view beyond the garden. The bed was too soft for one of us. The love seat was mid back so it was not possible to lean a head back to rest. We enjoyed the 20 minute walk into Portmellon but it may not be for those who find walking challenging. It is worth noting that those who live upstairs can be heard and we were conscious not to disturb them.
Summary: A perfect first visit to Cornwall in this delightful bolt hole
