This beautiful 3921 square foot custom log home is nestled into the mountainside and only 10 miles from the heart of Breckenridge. Surrounded by soaring pines, wildflowers and magnificent mountain views and at 11,387 ft above sea level the home provides incredible views of the Blue River valley, Quandary Peak and Keystone. Features include vaulted ceilings, an open floor plan, two large family rooms, 3 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, and a large deck to enjoy the beauty, peace and tranquility of the area.
The main level includes a large kitchen equipped with everything you need to prepare a home cooked meal and a large table that seats 8 with additional seating at the kitchen counter for 4. The living room has comfortable sofa seating and a beautiful grand log burning fireplace. The second bedroom is on this level with a queen bedroom that shares the main floor full bathroom. The laundry room contains a full size washer and dryer.
The upper level contains the master bedroom with a king bed, private bath and private balcony. This floor also has the third bedroom containing a twin and double bed. There is a second bathroom on this level accessible from the hallway. Additionally, there is a small sitting room on this level at the top of the stairs overlooking the main room with a TV.
The finished basement consists of a family room area with a TV, pool table and full bath. Access to the front porch area and garage are from this level.
Rental terms: Pets are not allowed and no smoking. No more than 8 people may stay in the house (unless you receive prior permission). In addition to the rental rates described, a fully refundable $500 deposit is required and will be refunded promptly once the condition of the house and has been confirmed upon your departure. A cleaning fee of $300 and tax of 6.375% will be added to the rental fee. Cancellations may be accepted 30 days or more prior to arrival. Military and community hero discounts are available, please inquire about rates.
Important Notes to consider: We are located on a regularly plowed road; a 4-wheel drive vehicle is required in the winter time or during mud season due to the amount of snow and runoff at this altitude. The main floor and upper areas are accessible only by stairs (15+ stairs each). The garage is not recommended for use due to its design; however, parking is accessible just to the side of the garage (summertime only) and in the main driveway. Well water is safe to drink but contains iron so may stain white clothes when washed in the washer and often leaves noticeable rings in the sinks and toilets. Bottled drinking water is provided in the kitchen.
With Quandary Peak (14,265 ft) trailhead only 2.7 miles away and Hoosier Pass summit only 2.3 miles other hiking and biking adventures await.
