Positive: I thought the unit was very nice and it covered PART of our needs. The unit was very clean. It was in a very tranquil setting. It was nice to have breakfast & dinner out on the deck and enjoy nature and the sound of the river. Check in was very easy, there were great instructions on how to do that on the front side along with how to check out. BUT Buyer beware.... for all the great communication there is lots of LACK of information! :{ I am giving it a 7 because I feel the problems I had are truly problems that can easily be fixed with HONEST and TRANSPARENT communication on the FRONT SIDE. There were LOTS of e-mails and information prior this can easily be added and phone instructions can be added to the welcome packet. Finding out what you ordered and paid for is not what you got & no phone service available to get it straightened out unless you drive back down the road 15-18 min. Although there is great internet front side communication and PHONE operating instructions can be fixed along with notes that tell you BEFORE you arrive to your unit you are assigned has stairs if it has them.
Negative: What didn't you like? When I was searching for a place to stay (close to where I had to work on one of the days) I specifically checked the box for (2) bedrooms. When reserving the unit… I read the details and it SAID (2) BEDROOM. But when my friend from Canada and I met up there, it was a (1) bedroom and a hide a bed couch!! UGG NOT a 2 bedroom that it showed on line and specifically said. The other thing to be aware of is there is ZERO cell service there. The closest cell is past the offices. There is a land line (I have a land line at home and use it daily, I am not unfamiliar with them) BUT NO INSTRUCTIONS how to get a line out after trying to call the office number 3 times I had to leave for work. It was FRUSTRATING that there was NO way to call the office to talk to them about it until I was on my way to work then we spoke for a couple min and lost cell again. Well come to find out they offered to move us into a cabin but by the time I saw the e-mail it was 11:30 PM when I got back from work. UGGG. I truly felt deceived!! NO true communication once there and then when it came to the room I felt bait and switched. Ordered a 2 bedroom and got a 1 bedroom and a living room couch that when the sun comes up you are AWAKE! I had also communicated that with the gal I spoke with PRE arrival that there was 2 of us and I was reserving a 2 bedroom. At NO point was it ever communicated that the room we got was not actually 2 bed ROOOOOMS!! A couple small minor MINOR complaints compared to the above… the path right outside the front door as although it is beautiful it has "nature" on the walking path, it needs trimming. Also they forgot to mention there are stairs LOTS of stairs to get to the unit, although they are nicely spread out stairs and our "old" knees and stairs are not friends: { I am giving it a 7 because I feel the problems I had are truly problems that can easily be fixed with HONEST and TRANSPARENT communication on the FRONT SIDE.
