Positive: This property usually has available an annexe for two guests. We were lucky to find that the hosts had made the whole of their property available for self catering whilst they and their family were away on holiday. Ruth was extremely helpful and responsive to queries prior to our taking up occupancy . It is a beautiful property away from the main road and very private.. The view from the rear overlooks the Sidmouth Rugby Club and pitch . The bedrooms we used were on the first floor although the one in the annexe ground floor and the twin room on the third floor were available if we had taken more family. The two main bedrooms were very large and loads of cupboard space. With comfortable clean beds, sheets and duvets . White soft towels were provided with large bath towels. The other room was a childrens twin room which my grandchildren loved especially the desk and the facilities in the room. The one bedroom has a large en suite which looks new with a great rain type shower. All bedrooms and stairs have fitted carpets. In the garden which is sun facing during most of the day there is a large trampoline, double swings and a swing ball again the grandchildren had great fun on these. There is parking for three cars but for two of them it can be a bit tricky if you drive in and reverse out. Regarding the shops turn. right out of the private gateway and it's a couple of hundred yards turn right again and its shops , cafes pubs both sides down to the sea front. Just before the junction there is a cul de sac that leads to a small hospital , suggest you walk down to end of cul de sac and follow the path which takes you past a rememberance garden ,tennis courts and bowling club and then the path continues through the churchyard and into part of the town near to the Market Hall . Walking from the premises into the town is flat, but watch the narrow footpaths vehicles including buses can come very close as the roads are also narrow. Kind Regards Mike.
