Positive: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casale Margarita and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The location was perfect—within easy walking distance of the train station, supermarkets, and several local restaurants. This was ideal for us, as we didn’t rent a car during our trip. The villa itself was stunning—beautifully designed, exceptionally clean, and well-maintained. The fixtures and fittings felt new yet retained a charming, traditional Tuscan style. Thoughtful touches like the Nespresso machine with pods and a bottle of sparkling wine added to the warm welcome. The pool area was another highlight. A great size and completely private, it also included a poolside sauna and kitchenette, which made it easy to spend entire afternoons lounging in comfort. The seating area above the pool offered breathtaking views—especially at sunset, which became a daily ritual for us. What truly set our experience apart, though, was the hospitality of our host, Diana. She went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. Her local recommendations were spot on—the pizza at Pizzeria San Lazzaro was excellent, and the gelato at Gelateria Artigianale Sette Voglie was some of the best we’ve had in Italy. We also explored Cortona, a charming historic town about a 40-minute walk from the villa—absolutely worth the visit. The location makes it easy to explore other parts of Tuscany as well, either by train or car. Overall, Casale Margarita exceeded our expectations, and we left with wonderful memories. We truly loved our stay here and hope to return one day!
