Positive: Casa Contiki was beautiful and relaxing- just what we needed after a few days of hiking in Corcovado. You could see and hear the ocean from the casa as well as lots of wildlife. The wading pools were refreshing after walking around in the heat. The beach was just a short walk, and the road was good for wildlife viewing of monkeys and birds. There were some bug visitors, but we are in the forest so was to be expected. Joel was so friendly and accommodating, he brought us coconuts and even drove us to Puerto Jiménez to catch our flight home and stopped to look for animals along the way. Maria worked a laundry miracle and got our smelly hiking clothes smelling like new. The casa was very private but not too secluded from civilization as other rentals were close by. Overall this was a lovely stay! Highly recommend!
Negative: Bugs coming in from the open air concept, but we knew that would happen!
