Summary: The property itself is absolutely stunning, but the overall experience didn’t quite match the level of hotel or the price. For a hotel in this category, I found it very strange to be charged separately for extra water in the room and even nuts. When you’re already paying around €2,500 a night, I would much rather the hotel simply charge €100 more for the room than nickel-and-dime guests over small things like water. It takes away from the feeling of luxury. The staff also didn’t seem as polished or well trained as I would expect at this level. The cocktails were disappointing, and the food quality was not what I would expect from a hotel of this calibre. It’s a beautiful property with enormous potential, but the service, food and attention to detail need to catch up with the setting and the level they are trying to aim for..
