Positive: The location is fantastic and the view is so beautiful. The property has everything you need for a self catering stay - an airfryer would be handy. It was really good to have the multi fuel burner to keep you warm and cosy - remember to bring logs, kindling etc with you otherwise you can get in Girvan (not Asda at this time of year), try Bargain Buys or Premier Store. Having the enclosed garden is great for the dogs. Yes the furniture is dated, but it is perfectly useable. If you like wildlife then this is a great place - lots of birds (garden and sea); we saw three pheasants on the grass on front; I saw a stoat; and the seals basking on the rocks on the beach. Girvan is a lovely place nearby to get all your supplies. To update on previous reviews the beds have been changed and are comfortable and quiet. There is plenty of room to put clothes in bedroom, two empty chest of drawers and some hanging space if needed. Yes there is laundry (bedding and towels) on a maiden in the front porch drying it didn't bother us and wasn't in our way, I can understand the reason for this as it is a cost effective way of drying!
Negative: The rug in lounge really needs replacing as it keeps curling over and causing bumps - this was not good for my partner who walks with a crutch and kept tripping. There is no heating in bedroom, so my advice would be to keep the bedroom door open to allow heat from the lounge flow through. The toilet seat needs replacing as it has a split in it. The bins were full and it was difficult to get out rubbish in, we were there for a week and could have easily put out a bin for collect if we knew the day and bin schedule. There was food in freezer, so we could not get anything in there. Who does the food belong to? Absolutely minor details that would not stop me from going or rebooking in the future!
Summary: We went away to chill out and recharge our batteries and this was achievable here. Haste me back!
