Positive: Lovely little cottage, tasteful and comfortable decor. Beds comfy and excellent kitchen and bathroom facilities. Location is great. Village has everything you need , pub, best fish and chips ever, coffee shop serving breakfast too, and a fantastic general store. Central location to see everything in Peak District.

Negative: We booked expecting twin beds but got a double instead. Owner operates through Sykes cottages but we booked through booking.com. As result communication was zero and they did not see any of our personal messages. All messages to us were automated. Off road parking is negligible. This doubles up as your ‘outside space’. Patio furniture is provided to sit in this space but there’s no way that you would as it’s right on the road and the road is VERY busy. Not suitable for young children at all. The road, though not an A road is the main road to Leek and is busy at commuter times and throughout with tractors. A lot of tractors!

Summary: Lovely place to stay. Communication could be better and more honesty regarding the details of the cottage.
