Summary: A Truly Special Stay in Iceland — One of Our Favorites! Áskot Cottages was one of our favorite stays during our Iceland trip. From the moment we arrived, we appreciated the thoughtful elevated touches throughout the property, especially the beautiful interior design and cozy, welcoming atmosphere. Having a washing machine was an absolute game changer for our family. After being on the road for several days, being able to do laundry mid-trip made our journey so much easier and more comfortable. One of the highlights was meeting Greta, the owner. She was absolutely delightful and clearly has such a passion for what she does. She took the time to give our 9-year-old son a tour of the horse stables and showed him their incredible equine water pool therapy for the horses. It was such a unique and memorable experience for him. Watching the horses peacefully grazing on the grass right outside our window was magical — such a picturesque and relaxing view that truly captured the beauty and tranquility of Iceland. We also rented a hybrid car, and having a complimentary Tesla EV charger on-site was the perfect finishing touch. It was such a thoughtful amenity and made our stay even more convenient. We highly recommend Áskot Cottages and only wish we had booked more nights. It was a beautiful, unique, and unforgettable part of our Iceland adventure.
