Positive: The property is in a very good location for exploring the Peak District with easy access to Bakewell, Buxton and having Carsington water on the doorstep. The cottage was comfortable and well equipped, the underfloor heating was appreciated and very effective. The two bathrooms were a big bonus and the beds were comfortable. There was some outside space too with a small private courtyard that has a barbecue, although it was a bit too cold to sit outside when we were there. The pool is an additional bonus with views out over the countryside. All mod cons are included except a washing machine but who wants to do washing when you are on holiday?
Negative: The only thing that I found difficult was the sofas were very low and quite deep. The younger party members had no problems but older party members found them difficult to use.
