Summary: Though we felt safe in the neighborhood and the rental was spacious, the bathrooms were not clean, oven was dirty, saw multiple roaches, our daughter picked 3 small bugs off her in one of the twin beds, towels were tattered and stained (like we would use at home as shop rags!), ice and water dispenser in fridge didn't work, refrigerator froze our food and water, some of the furniture was stained and chipped, splatters on some of the curtains and walls. Games in the closet were missing pieces. Two hours before arrival, I VRBO msg'd the host because we had not received a code or check-in procedures. When we arrived at 5:20 and still had no code, I called the host and left a message. We received a door code 30+ minutes later. Once we did get in the house, we msg'd and called the host because the heat wasn't working and there was no internet. It took the host a while to respond, but he did send out a heating and air repairman who fixed the heat. The host brought over his personal satellite internet router for us to use during our stay because 2 of our group had to work from the rental. I don't know how this rental received so many good reviews. This is the first bad experience I have had with a vacation home rental property.
