Welcome to Wildwood Lodge! Our Lodge is the perfect location for family gatherings, reunions, weddings, travel nurses and doctors, and more. Need a spacious place to work from 'home'? We now offer big discounts for weekly and monthly stays!
WE LOVE FAMILIES! Feeling a little put-off by rentals that are not 'family-friendly"? Well, we ARE! After owning and operating a children's summer camp for almost thirty years, we KNOW kids! We provide a clean and well-furnished comfortable home without the worries of your toddler knocking over that expensive vase or art piece. Our upstairs play room gives your children a great place to play with toys, games, books and art supplies. We offer a big yard along with yard games for them to burn off that excess energy so you can relax on our the screened in front porch after a day of sightseeing. There is also a ping-pong table in the garage for your older ones (or YOU!).
Want to just go play in the lake? We are less than 15 minutes from Wolf Creek Lake and provide inflatable rafts and kayaks, along with paddles, life vests and pumps- all free for you to use!
Need a place for just grown-ups? We can handle that too! We have had groups from corporate getaways to motorcycle clubs to church groups to wedding parties to couples just needing a place to hang out for the week. We have even hosted families that need a place to stay while renovating their homes.
With bedrooms both upstairs and downstairs, multiple families can vacation together in one location. Downstairs features three bedrooms, open floor plan with living room with gas fireplace, kitchen, dining room, smaller dining area, a large screened front porch with plenty of seating and more dining space, propane grill, attached garage and two bathrooms. Upstairs features two additional bedrooms, bathroom, large den and children's play area.
Full kitchen with dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, ice maker, stove, coffee makers, central heat and air conditioning. Clothes washer & dryer. WiFi internet throughout the Lodge. There is satellite TV in the three downstairs bedrooms and living room, and in the upstairs den and master bedroom. There is also a DVD player in the living room. Games, puzzles & books provided.
Boat & RV parking is permitted in our driveway. RVs or campers may NOT be used for sleeping while on the property. Property managers/owners live on the property and are available for personalized service and attention.
Handicap accessible main floor. Ramp to entrance inside garage. All doorways are wide, grab bars in both showers, grab bars for master bedroom toilet, large shower stall in master bedroom with built in seat.
Nearby hiking, swimming, boating, fishing, restaurants, sight seeing. Lake Toxaway is 20 minutes away, Wolf Creek Lake is 15 minutes away, Brevard and Cashiers are 30 minutes, Asheville is one hour and 20 minutes, Asheville Airport is one hour. We are also only 30 minutes from the nearest entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Sapphire Ski Resort is 20 minutes away.
We now offer Wildwood Lodge as a pet-friendly home. Pets require a signed pet agreement, have a non-fundable pet fee of $40 per pet per night with a cap of $200 per pet per week. Dogs only, limit of two.
About our ONE negative review. VRBO does not allow responses to reviews when the guest books from another site so I want to clear up the comments left. Our Lodge is cleaned thoroughly for each guest's stay. We put clean fresh folded sheets on each bed in response to so many guests asking for that rather than making the beds ahead (Covid related). The Lodge was left in terrible condition after this guest left- trash, food, etc. everywhere inside and outside. We did not charge anything extra to clean it up even though it took two days instead of the usual 4-5 hours. The only item charged for was the cost to repair my 1980's Bentwood rocker which spurred him to leave very nasty messages and threats, and of course this review. We love our guests and hope his comments do not deter anyone from having a great experience here like so many others have done in the past!
