Walden Hall Main Manor is a large, spacious previous country home which comfortably sleeps 10. Renting Walden Hall Main Manor allows exclusive access to all interior rooms of the Grand Manor, which includes four luxury en-suite bedrooms, and one lower level “bunk” room with two twin beds, perfect for teenagers. The main house has 11 common areas including the lower club level which boasts a billiard room, old fashion arcade, darts and game area, a wet bar, and 9 seat surround sound private theatre. The front porch is also for the exclusive use of the Walden Hall Main Manor guests.
Shared spaces on the 10-acre estate include parking lot, semi-heated saltwater swimming pool (for rental guests only, & open April - October, or longer weather permitting), 10-foot fire pit, 2.5 acres fully stocked pond, garden, picnic area and grounds. The estate has two additional rentals apart from the Main Manor, in the pool wing both of which have private entrances away from the main manor.
We are a CONTACT-LESS short-term rental property. Prior to arrival, you will be given check-in instructions including accessing the house key; the key is for your use during your stay. The four luxury en-suite poets bedrooms also have door locks operatedvia a keyless coded touchpad entry system (combinations in guestbook in kitchen) for your extra privacy.
Walden Hall Estate has three separate rental units available, and Julie and her husband Dave are veteran hosts who live 10 minutes away! They are available 24/7 and their private cell phone number will beprovided to you upon check-in.
Walden Hall is perfectly located! We are close enough to Washington DC, Richmond, Shenandoah National Park,and Charlottesville to make it a convenient drive, but still far enough away to feel like you have entered a whole new world of restful yet luxurious countryside living! The lovely small town of Culpeper is five minutes north of Walden Hall, with grocery stores, shopping, farmers markets, and great restaurants. The historic town of Madison VA is 10 minutes south, hosting award winning Bald Top Brewing Co, Virginia's first historic farm brewery on 53 glorious pristine acres - tell the Bald Top staff you are staying at Walden Hall and receive a discount on your food & beverage purchase!Shenandoah National Park and Skyline drive are within 30 minutes, as are famous hiking and outdoor attractions such as Old Rag Mountain, White Oak Falls, and more. Walden Hall is 90 miles southwest of Washington DC via 66W and Rt 29/15 south, 15 miles from Shenandoah National Forest, and close to numerous wineries, breweries, cideries, distilleries,and historic sites. We are a countryside locale, which does not offer public transportation options. Private cars are most convenient for travel. Walden Hall maintains both a Tesla and EV car charging stations (no cost) on site for the convenience of our private guests.
