Summary: I enjoyed the Villa itself but my trip was ruined by terrible service and misleading descriptions from the owners. I'll start by saying the Villa is beautiful, and is situated in a rural area with beautiful surroundings. The interior and outside pool area was well kept and clean as were the linen and towels provided. Despite the Villa being well presented my biggest issue by far is you are not renting the full property, the entire 'basement' of ground floor is locked off despite being listed as a full property rental. This meant every time I wanted to use the pool or outside area I had to carry everything down the outer stairs and a very steep driveway with my one year old baby. Not suitable for young families, elderly people or people with disabilities. There is NO MENTION of this at all, and in the pictures advertising this property the areas are clearly open. Second issue was the owner doesn't provided the address for the exact location of the property only for the nearby village, it's not difficult to provided the correct address I had to find it myself in the end. It is listed as having internet when in reality it doesn't, they offer a small 'hot spot' which isn't fit for purpose and only worked for the second half of my stay. Owner seemed to want to help but stopped replying to my messages. Continuing on there is no welcome guide or instructions for the property, for example what do I do with bin bags, the pool is meant to have heating how do I turn that on? Are people expected to know this? Despite the owner knowing we were with a Baby, the night before our checkout day we had someone ringing the bell at 9.30pm in the evening, woke my baby up. It turned out to be what appeared to be a drunk man and the supposed cleaner asking what time they would come and clean the following day, I don't mind them asking but 9.30pm feels a little late to show up unannounced. Lastly the property is self catering, and they really mean that. Don't expect any basics other than washing machine and dish washer tablets and a roll and half of toilet paper. There are smaller issues on top of what has been mentioned, so I'll leave it at that. Unless the owners start to treat this like a holiday let rather than an income I'd avoid this particular property, but not the area. I'll be looking for a partial refund from the owner or Home away following my stay.
