Rocca del Gelso is a lovely, vacation house located in a naturalistic wonderful area of the north-east coast of Sicily, just in front of Eolian islands, far from city chaos but very close to a very large, wonderful sandy beach on Tirreno see. It is situated at 300 mt above sea level and is surrounded by magnificent green hills, where you can spend a very relaxing stay. At the same time, it is an ideal starting point for reaching Eolian Islands and all the main touristic sites of east Sicily (Tindari, Milazzo, Taormina, Acireale, Siracusa). Until the last century, the house was a typical Sicilian farm house. It has been recently renovated with the purpose to maintain the authentic atmosphere of an agricultural place even though with the modern comforts and facilities. A relaxing private swimming-pool with a wonderful panoramic view on the see and on the hills, makes this place an oasis not to be missed! The nearest villages are amazing mediaeval hamlets (Venetico, Rometta, Roccavaldina) with lots of historic remains of castles and ancient buildings and churches. Its name “Rocca del Gelso” is due to a big white mulberry tree that provides fruits and shade. A large green area with olive trees gives shade and cool to the swimming pool and to any other environment.
The house consisting of one double bedroom, a private full bathroom with shower and a large kitchen-living room, equipped, with a sofa double bed and provided of all household appliances (coffee machine, electric grill plate, blender, washing machine, iron and ironing board, wireless connection). There is a private terrace, in front of the house, furnished with a gazebo, a table, chairs and a large barbecue.
