Positive: Wonderful appointed building with excellent facilities, a lovely view and great pool. You really have everything you need here, and moneglia is a hidden gem. It’s easy to visit cinque terre by train, but you can escape the business back to the authentic calm of moneglia. Although it’s a fair way out of town, there is a lovely taxi driver. And it means you can sit outside watching the owls and fireflies at night!

Negative: It’s a demanding walk, drive or taxi into town, so that’s not for everyone but we loved the peace and views it gives.

Summary: Hidden gem close to cinque terre.
