Specious and elegant Villa Jardin is found in the heart of Istria,making it ideally located for exploring the lovelyPeninsula rich in natural beauty, glorious beaches, notable architecture and endless points of interest. An enormous pool of 72m2 complements the villa surrounded by greenery and sun loungers for your enjoyment. The garden also provides a covered seating area, as well as outdoor dining with an authentic built in BBQ facilities.Villa itself consists ofthree levels over 450m2. Approached from the pool area is the groundlevel with floor to ceiling windows allowing abundant light occupying abright living room, an open plan fully equipped kitchen, dining room plus one of the en-suite double bedrooms. The first floor has the remaining three en-suite bedrooms and a large balcony. The attic offers an extra lounge area with a sofa bed while the lower ground level is equipped with a jacuzzi, sauna, fitness center and table tennis.
In fourbedrooms eight guests are comfortably accommodated. Two more guests can be accommodated on two extra beds.
While some may say the heart of Croatia beats the fastest in the South, somethink it flourishes in Istria. Extremely rich in history standing proof to occupation by multiple powers Istria is the most multicultural region of Croatia with preserved Roman ruins, excellent cuisine, superb beaches, crystal clear water, its own dialect and hospitable hosts. The mountainous center of the peninsula is home to charming villages producing their own olive oil and delicious wine and if you find yourself here in late summer to early fall be sure to attend a truffle festival offering exquisite truffles in every way known to the gastronomic world.

Summary: Positive points The villa was very pleasant and well appointed Nice bathrooms Hot tub and gym in the basement very nice Good size pool Handy man very pleasant and helpful Less positive points The directions provided do not take you directly to the villa. We had to stop and ask for some help (in the dark) at a house in the village Air conditioning not working (reported to the owners who sent the handyman who was unable to get it going) As we had a 10 month old baby we asked for it to be fixed and this was not done. We were offered a fan for her bedroom. As the temperatures were in the mid 30’s this was not acceptable for any of us. We asked twice for feedback on when it would be repaired and had no response. Too many damaged and broken chairs, loungers and umbrellas around the pool area There is a resident cat and dog. Totally unacceptable to be pestered by these animals and for those allergic to cats, wholly inappropriate and potentially a health hazard Sadly, when packing our bags on the final day, we knocked over and damaged a glass table. The owner valued the table at €170, which we paid. As this is a holiday let, removing valuable items would seem the best option. We were unaware that there was working allotments on both sides of the villa which spoilt the views. One elderly lady did give us some of her produce, which was incredible kind.
