Negative: Felt a little more ‘unloved’ than in the pictures advertised. The lights didn’t work in one of the bedrooms, there was 6 bedrooms but only 1 had wardrobes, there were scuff and dirt marks all over the walls, the bathroom floors weren’t clean, lots of hair and bits of dirt on the floor, the kitchen blinds didn’t work so couldn’t lower them at night, the blinds in one of the downstairs front bedrooms didn’t lower all of the way to the window sill leaving about an inch gap that passers by could see through and you couldn’t change in there because people could see in, the blinds in the bedroom: the toggles were broken so you couldn’t twist them to angle them for light to come in, the bins were already full so we took most of our rubbish home with us, there was a total mismatch of glasses in the cupboard and we had to wash some of the plates are there was old food stuck to them. There was also a lot of damp marks on the ceilings particularly in the downstairs bathroom and kitchen. Dust and cobwebs with a lot of bugs in in the skylight. It was overall a pleasant stay and I’m not complaining by any means. The grass in the garden hadn’t been cut in a while so was high in areas, the steps in the garden are broken which made it very dangerous for the children so we couldn’t let them go up and down the stairs to the top of the garden because they were wobbly. There’s also no garden furniture to be able to enjoy the garden. The single beds in the downstairs with a pull out bed which we would say would be for children if travelling with children was right next to the front door so we didn’t use that room as we weren’t comfortable leaving the children somewhere unfamiliar right next to the front door. We didn’t feel the need to contact the owner as it was really affecting our stay but those things need to be addressed and easily fixable with a bit of attention and tlc.
Summary: We enjoyed our stay, the beds were clean and comfortable.it was a nice and spacious witha great size garden.
