Negative: We enjoyed Uncle Eric’s Chalet which is supposedly 500 plus years old in Interlaken with certain reservations. The property’s interior is mix of antique and contemporary furniture. Only two bathrooms for a total capacity to accommodate nine guests in five bedrooms are insufficient. We were lucky to be in Interlaken in very pleasant weather condition. However during cold weather, these bathrooms would be very difficult to use in the absence of heaters. Insufficient hot water even in this moderate weather was not enough; perhaps owners are conscious of cost saving. The showers are ill equipped, there’s no holder to keep soap, shampoo etc. The head shower in upper floor is broken; in fact it fell on my head, luckily I didn’t get hurt. Hand shower is broken as well. There’s no holder to hang hand shower. The bottom line is ‘Not Value for Money’.
