Positive: The hosts were a very kind couple that supplied us with water and some sweet breads as a welcome into their home. That was so kind. They don’t speak a word of English, but this is Italy, no-one does, so I don’t hold it against them. The entry is a short rocky road, but very close to the highway, so you can get around quickly. The house itself is cool even with the airco (which is present) off.
Negative: The costs of linnen and towels was a bit steep in my opinion. Next door is a villa, which often parties well into the night, so it can be a bit noisy in the later hours. You can see the house was or is still lived in, since every nook and cranny of the house is filled with stuff. This is annoying, since guests need to put their stuff somewhere and there is not a lot of room for that. No house needs that many pots, pans and cutlery as this house has stuffed in it’s closets.
Summary: Good homebase to explore south east sicily, we had a nice time
