River House Cabin(A legal, licensed nightly rental with a current Okanogan County health permit as required by law) sits near the banks of the Methow River in the Lost River area 7 miles northwest of Mazama. Enjoy breathtaking views of Last Chance Point and Driveway Butte.The main channel of the Methow River is a very short walk from the deck of the cabin. Whether you plan to cross-country ski, snow shoe, snowmobile, hike or just relax the River House offers all this and more. The River House has breathtaking views of Last Chance Point and Driveway Butte. The cabin offers one bedroom and a sleeping loft. It has a gas fireplace and a fully-equipped kitchen. There is also a small sleeper sofa in living room. The cabin has a picnic table, park bench, and gas barbecue, all in a nicely treed setting. Other amenities provided: TV(no reception/DVD, Washer/dryer and board games. The cabin does has a telephone, but no long distance service (please bring a calling card).

**We strive to provide the best internet service we can get here in the very rural Methow Valley. Internet speeds vary throughout the valley and outages or tech issues can occur that Methow Reservations nor the owners have no control over, and for these reasons NO REFUNDS are given if the internet is problematic. Should you have an issue with internet service, please send us a message through VRBO describing the problem. We will then contact you to troubleshoot. If the issue is not resolved, we will then contact the internet provider, and/or homeowner. Please note... our valley is very rural and getting service personnel to fix things in a timely manner can be a challenge. We rent lodging, not office space. Public internet is available at the Winthrop library with enhanced internet speed (parking lot or inside the library). Alternatively, for a fee you can go to the Dropzone in downtown Winthrop. WINTER INFORMATION:
**Should you travel to the Methow during the winter months it is important to understand that you must be prepared for winter driving(keep chains, shovel...in the car). If it snows while here you will have to wait for plow service just like every other person in the valley. There are a limited number of plow companies and we can not make them show up any faster than they are able. They have many different contracts and many miles of roads, driveways...to plow. If a plow person or a snow shoveler shows up to clear any area around the house, please do not argue with them or turn them away. Move your vehicles if asked. **Propane Fireplace--should there be tech issues or the propane fireplace upon your arrival please send a message through VRBO. We will try to troubleshoot and remedy the problem.
