Positive: The amount of space and for parking was excellent. The beds were very comfy and all was very clean. The top floor bedroom was a big hit with the mezzanine seating. The back bedroom was very comfy and welcoming. Great to have full size freezer and fridge. Lots of utensils in the kitchen, washing machine easy to use. The setting is lovely with long gardens to walk through. The grounds are very good. The decor is very well done and welcoming. Good quality with thick carpets and very comfy sofas. Both bathrooms were great, very clean, with thick towels provided, very nice. Lovely kitchen/dining, had some great family meals there.
Negative: The front bedroom was a little dark and not as welcoming as the other two for some reason (personal taste perhaps) but still very good. The accommodation is spread over four floors and for me it was a little bit of a chore walking up and down stairs, particularly if you forgot something. My family loved all of it however, and appreciated the space. It did get a bit chilly mid afternoon but you can ask the host to re set the heating timings.
Summary: It is a great venue and interesting to read the history. Very good location for Hazel Beach.
