Positive: Lovely, sweet property. Very attractively renovated. Beautiful surroundings. Very relaxing atmosphere overall.
Negative: Unfortunately the bathroom was the dirtiest I’ve ever seen in a hotel/room (we travel and stay away a lot). There was mould growing plentifully on the wooden slats designed for standing on when the floor is wet. No one had cleaned the floor underneath and it was covered in hair and dirt. The walls had multiple cobwebs and spiders. The corners of the bathroom floor and around the toilet were collecting dirt, dust and hair. The windows and skylights in the property were also dusty and full of cobwebs. I cleaned the bathroom floor for some time using the washing up liquid that was in the kitchen. This is not the way I wish to begin a weekend stay, especially when the room was around £300/night. I felt the lack of attention to detail in this respect was extremely disappointing. Luckily, everything else was very pleasant and should the owners address the cleanliness issues, the stay would most likely be very very lovely indeed.
