The woods in our mountain forests lavish our studio flat with a very warm atmosphere.
At the foot of the mountains, with a balcony above the water level of the Serre-Ponçon dam, without being lost in the middle of nowhere and usually in one of the best climates of France: Presently, we are talking of more than 300 days of sunshine per year.
As well equipped as 'at home': Ground floor: dishwasher, electric oven and microwave, induction cooker, fridge and freezer, washing machine, wood stove, flat screen TV + sound bar, Bluetooth, and blue-ray player. Sleeping capacities: 140 x 200 cm reclining sofa (living room) + 2 double bedrooms (140 x 190 cm beds). If you are staying with a baby or a toddler, we shall provide for the 'appropriate sleeping equipment.
Spring, summer, autumn: Lake of the Serre-Ponçon Dam, river Durance, kilometres of walking and hiking, mountain biking, horse riding, etc natural and cultural sites, architecture, worship, Via-Alta (www.via-alta.com), Aerial sports at less than 40 mn.
Summer: there are so many things to do on the Serre-Ponçon lake, you can carry out all the aquatic activities you like, including the most exciting (have you ever flown through Europe's largest water reservoir with an ultra light seaplane?). La Durance is the river on which you will carry out all the imaginable white water activities, mountain biking in all its forms in nearby mountain resorts, and many other things to discover.
Ah! We almost forgot, you could also stay and do nothing. Just enjoy spending time in a beautiful jewel box.
Winter: Ski resorts nearby are, Les Orres (20mn) Réallon (20 mins), Crévoux (25 mins), Risoul (35 mins), Vars (40 min), and other equally renowned places although a little further away, but the best: La Grave - La Meige (3600 m alt.) a 1hr 15mins drive.
