Ellalong 'The Jewel of the Mountain' is a small town located in the Hunter Region of New South Wales, Australia at the foot of the Watagan Mountains.
You will love the stay here and the small-town feel. The town is safe at all times of the day and night and most people would not lock their front doors.
The town has a small selection of places to eat and drink and the famous Hunter Valley is a super short drive away.
Getting Around:
To visit our home you will have to arrive by car.
Other Things to Note:
Pool: The home is located in a rural area and although the pool is regularly serviced upon your arrival the pool may contain leaves, pollen/flowers and insects or little animals. Any items in the pool can be scooped out with the pool net.
Tree House for Kids: the kids must have adult supervision. It is 2.6 high for kids 12+
Country Side: Our home is located in the country side. This means that you will often see a kangaroo or neighbours dog wander around our property.
Indoor/Outdoor Fireplace/pits - The Hunter Valley has strict fire regulations and guidelines, and in warmer months exercises a complete fire ban. All fires must operate in line with NSW state fire restrictions.
Sewage System: Our house is connected to a sewage system. This means that firstly we have to ask you to be very cautious with what you throw into the toilet (ONLY toilet paper allowed) and it secondly means that if the house has been empty for a few days or weeks it can smell just a little bit. We ask you to open all windows upon arrival and flush the toilets and the smell will be gone in 20 minutes.
Noise Policy: We always follow strict noise regulations and ask you to be respectful and considerate. While our home is secluded we do not accept any party bookings. The home is best suited to families and mature travel groups.
Age Limit: We do not accept reservations for groups with travellers under the age of 23 years unless a specific exception has been approved. If you are a family travelling with supervised children, you can proceed with the booking. The home is perfect for families or mature groups of travellers.
Supplies: A complimentary welcome pack will be provided that includes several single use items to get you started including tea, coffee, sugar, milk, soap, laundry, and dishwashing supplies. For extended stays, we ask you to remember to bring extra provisions.

We generally give you space during your stay but if you need us just give us a call and we gladly assist you with anything you need over the phone.
