Positive: The location was lovely, the room was spacious and felt very luxurious, the balcony was cute. The room was clean and warm (given how cold it was outside). It was also so quiet and peaceful. The bathroom was clean and large (a rarity to have space to move around in a hotel bathroom!). The staff were lovely, parking was easy, and the additional facilities in the hotel were cool. The bed was comfy, and there was room for our bags with some desk space left over. We ordered breakfast from the place downstairs and they were so lovely and offered to bring it up to us. While it wasn't the best food we've eaten, it hit the spot and did the job. Otherwise a lovely stay and we would 100% stay here again.
Negative: There are only two things we'd alter about the room. The first would be to add a little additional lighting in the centre of the room; it was quite dim in the evening. The second is to include a second armchair (only because it's got the space to do so). Otherwise, we couldn't fault it.
Summary: A peaceful weekend, pleasantly surprised.
