Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The cottage and the location is amazing! The living room has plenty of natural light even on cloudy days and the view of the garden is beautiful! There is a private parking space which is very convenient and the cottage has a private driveway so it's away from the tourist crowds and the photos, but still super central. There is a little cafe opposite the street where we were getting our breakfast, a pub and a restaurant at a walking distance and also the Bibury trout farm. Everything is very close by at a walking distance and also the closest villages are only about 15-20 mins by car. Michelle was also very kind and friendly when we needed her one day that we didn't have hot water in the house.

Negative: The plates, cups, glasses, cutlery, etc need to be washed by the visitors according to the house rules. However, when we checked in the house, we had to wash them ourselves before using them as most of them had not been cleaned properly. There were mugs on the shelves with remains of coffee still in them, plates that hadn't been properly washed and had dried remains of food and oil. We would be find to clean our own plates, but cleaning the plates od the previous visitors shouldn't have been the case. Also, as many people mentioned, the bed is very squeaky, which can be a bit uncomfortable.
