“Sunset Island Stays” is a delightful single-storey family home in Sunset Strip just a short drive from Smiths Beach and all the supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Cowes. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
At the front of the home is the large open plan Living/Dining/Kitchen (with smart TV & bluetooth speaker). A central hallway runs down the home providing acess to Bedroom 1 with a TV, BIR and ensuite (with shower & toilet), Bedrooms 2 & 3 (each with BIR), the main bathroom (with shower & bath), a separate toilet and the fully equipped Laundry (with washing machine & clothes dryer).
Outdoor Areas
The large fully-covered enclosed front deck has a table with seating for 6 plus 4 outdoor occassional chairs and a gas BBQ. There are 8 steps from the deck to the front yard with a stair gaurd at the top. The rear yard is also fully enclosed - perfect for children and pets alike. The side of the house has a large grassed area that can comfortably accommdate up to 6 vehicles (cars and/or a boat, caravan, etc).
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, toaster, kettle, Breville Nespresso coffee machine, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and cook top.
Heating/Cooling Systems
There is a wall mounted reverse cycle airconditioner in the Living/Kitchen/Dining room, ceiling fans in bedrooms 1 and 2 plus one additional stand-alone heater and fan which can be used where required (stored in bedroom 3). There are also electric blankets on the beds in Bedroom 1 and 2 over Winter.

Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies.
