About this space
This new, sparkling clean, 500 sq ft studio is set up for relaxation and comfort. Amenities include a stylish, fully equipped kitchen w/ dishwasher, heated bathroom floors, smart TV, guest-controlled thermostat/AC and W/D in unit.
You’ll be just a couple blocks from coffee shops, restaurants, a corner store, a book store and the lake. Columbia City & Light Rail are a few minutes by car/Uber or a 20 minute walk.
Enjoy easy access to downtown, T-Mobile Park, Lumen Field and the airport.
The space
Guests access the apartment via a dedicated private entrance behind a locked gate – both of which feature keyless coded entry. Free parking is available directly in front of the home.
Your retreat opens up onto a covered guest patio with access to a spacious garden steps away.
The fully equipped kitchen offers a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, range, oven, microwave, blender, Nespresso coffee maker and hot water kettle. It is fully stocked with dishes, glassware, and cooking utensils so you can cook a meal in.
Complimentary Nespresso coffee, tea, non-dairy creamer, condiments, oatmeal and pasta are provided.
The bathroom has heated floors, plenty of fluffy towels, shampoo, conditioner and body wash as well as a full-sized combo W/D.
The queen-sized bed has organic sheets and a cozy comforter. The large windows in the living/bedroom have black out shades.
Multiple closets and ample shelving will help you feel organized and settled. Iron/ironing board and extra blankets are stocked within.
The living space is set up for relaxing with a couch and bed both facing a wall-mounted, smart Roku TV. And a dedicated WIFI pod keeps you streaming at full speed.
The windows in the main living/sleeping space face the private guest walkway, enhancing the privacy of the apartment. The kitchen and back door windows look out onto the patio/garden and have blinds that can be adjusted for your preferred light/privacy balance.
The studio is nestled in a quiet gem of a neighborhood and is just a couple blocks from coffee shops, restaurants, a book store and a corner market as well as Lake Washington and a shoreside walking trail.
Historic Columbia City is less than a mile away, offering many more restaurants, pubs, coffee shops, clothing, home and gift shops, a movie theater, ice cream parlor, yoga studio, organic grocery store, Light Rail station and more. You can get there in 4 minutes by car or about a 15 minute walk.
Seward Park is a 10-15 minute walk away where you can enjoy walking trails around the lake or through the ancient forest in the park’s interior.
Downtown Seattle, T-Mobile Park, Lumen Field: ~5.5 miles, 15+ minutes by car
Airport: 10 miles, ~20 minutes by car or Light Rail.
Light Rail station – Columbia City: 1 mile — To get to downtown, sports arenas or to the airport from this station will take about 20 minutes.
50 Bus: 1 block — Catch the 50 bus right around the corner from the apartment and take it to Columbia City where you can shop, dine or hop the Light Rail to multiple destinations, including downtown, arenas and the airport.
REMOTE WORK NOTE: The space is normally set up with two nightstands. If you are interested in setting up a remote work/WFH station, I can easily swap out one of the nightstands for a desk that is right below a window. See photos for visual. **Please request at booking.

Other things to note
The apartment is located on the lower level of my home (with very good insulation and two solid wood doors between the spaces). You may occasionally hear sounds of daily living, but we are very quiet overall and have equipped the studio with a sound machine just in case. If you have any special requests around noise please just let me know and I will do my best to accommodate.
