3 Bedroom Apartment with Air Conditioner, Pool and Internet
Our apartment is on the corner of the 7th floor (two lifts) facing the sea and overlooking the swimming pool and gardens. The sitting-room is elegantly furnished with sofa and armchairs and there is a small dining-table for winter use. Wifi is available. Flat screen TV provides Sky Freeview, Spanish, French & German TV channels. There is a DVD/CD player and Ipod Dock. A selection of books, DVDs and games are provided for our guests' use. Sliding doors open on to two wide balconies with table and chairs which give magnificent panoramic sea and mountain views. At the rear a fully equipped kitchen with views across to Denia town and port has a gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer,toaster, coffee maker, dishwasher and washing machine. China, cutlery, glasses are provided as well as all the necessary pots and pans. An iron and ironing board are available. There is another small balcony off the kitchen with an outside drying line.
There are three bedrooms: front (twin-bedded), side (double), and there is a single bedroom at the rear. Bedlinen,bath and beach towels are provided. The bathroom has a power shower, toilet and washbasin with vanity unit. There is also a separate cloakroom with toilet, washbasin, mirror and shaver point adjoining. All water in the taps is drinkable as it is piped straight from the mountain springs.
Facilities: 25m pool and baby pool surrounded by spacious lawns and trees; tennis court; childrens’ play area; table tennis; undercover parking. There is a regular bus service to and from Denia from Les Rotes.
The nearest general supermarket and bakery is next to Denia Port Hotel at Playa Marineta Cassiana (5 min drive).
It is open Tues - Sunday. There is also one opposite the Yacht Club down the road. There are several other supermarkets in Denia including Aldi, Consum, Mercadona and Eroski. These larger supermarkets stay open all day up to 8pm.
There is an indoor fruit, veg and butchers market at Calle Candida Carbonell in the centre of Denia and on Fridays a farmers' street market is held outside. On Mondays there is a large street market at Germans Maristes selling household goods, plants and clothes and on Fridays a flea market is held.
The nearest pharmacy is opposite Las Vinas apartments. There are several banks in Marques de Campo.
The nearest beach is a 7 minute walk at Les Rotes waterfront where you will find a dramatic rocky coastline, perfect for sunbathing on the rocks and excellent for snorkeling. Access to this beach is opposite Las Vinas via the walkway beside Hotel Montgo. A waterfront walkway leads to Mena restaurant at the end of Les Rotes where the Montgo comes down to the sea and to Denia New Marina and Playa Marineta Cassiana.. Enjoy a drink or a meal overlooking the sea at any of the bars and restaurants en route.
The nearest sandy beach is Playa Marineta Cassiana, (3km drive) ,a golden beach with safe swimming and with easy access to some of the best local restaurants. Ten minutes drive away is Les Marines with 20Km of gentle shelving, golden sands and warm waters. Here water sports are available. Les Marines is a very popular area with cafes, bars, restaurants and shops nearby. There's a brand new big sports centre Centro Deportivo at Lew Marines, which has a 25m swimming pool with 8 lanes, gyms, sports halls for aerobics, pilates and yoga, sauna and SPA centre with Finnish/Turkish sauna, jacuzzi, pools and massage showers. A bus leaves Les Rotes for Denia on the hour. Change at the Port for the bus to Les Marines.
There are numerous restaurants in Denia. You can go out to eat locally every day or evening of the week and never have to go back to the same place twice. Choose between the typical Spanish restaurants along the Les Rotes waterfront, the more modern cafes and bars at Denia New Marina, the excellent cuisine near Denia Port or the cheaper beach front restaurants at Les Marines.
Denia - Denia's focal point is its impressive 16th Century castle which dominates the town. You can walk through a tunnel under the castle into the main street of Marques de Campo named for the marquis who used to reside in the castle. This is a tree-lined avenue with shops, cafes and restaurants on both sides. A wonderful place to sit and people watch. Shopping in Denia is a sheet delight. Besides offering all the high street essentials, there are designer shops and beautiful gift shops specializing in the most unusual and the exquisite.There are regular fiestas when the town bursts into a riot of music, dancing and colour with fireworks and spectacular street parades.
Don't miss the Spring Festival with local girls dressed in national costumes, the Falles (paper mache statues that are set on fire), Bous al Mar (bull running into the sea) and the Moors and Christians magnificant parade.
