Stay in this luxury holiday home previously known as Chalet Barney that features a cosy living room with an open-plan kitchen and a spacious dining/sitting area. After a day of hiking or skiing, put your belongings in the ski storage room. In summer, dream away in the sunny garden overlooking the Grossglockner mountain. There is a veritable grill hut where it is great to have a bite to eat and hang out together. What a life!
Rauris has a varied and modern ski area. The altitude of the ski area reaches up to 2175 metres. From here you have breathtaking views of Austria's highest mountain, the Großglockner (3798 metres). The ski area is clear and offers plenty of easy runs. There are excellent practice slopes, ski schools with playing fields and treadmills. This makes this ski area very popular with families with children. Want to spend a day skiing somewhere else? The Gasteinertal, Zell am See and the Hochkönig region are within easy reach. The Rauriser valley is also known for its many touring skiing and cross-country skiing opportunities and winter hiking trails.
Within 30 minutes you can reach Kaprun's famous glacier. You can ski all year round here! In Rauris, you have access to a hiking network with over 295 kilometres of marked trails. There are hiking trails for all levels, where you can choose from day hikes, themed hikes and multi-day hikes. Guided hikes are also possible. Rauris is located in a water-rich area, with waterfalls, mountain lakes, small streams and brooks.
