The house, the core of which was built in 1646, was an operating winery until 30 years ago. Built in typical warm Tarn stone, the house sits at the top of a hill with unobstructed views virtually 360. There are no neighbours, very quiet and secluded with very large rooms, many with exposed beams and stone walls. The property is great for holidays by large parties with many individual spaces indoors and out for privacy and a very large salon (75 m2) with three sofas and several comfortable chairs.
BEDROOMS: There are five bedrooms with double beds (one has two double beds) and a children's dormitory with five single beds plus a single bed which is easily moved and a day bed in the salon. One of the bedrooms is on ground floor so easy for guests with limited mobility; however the ground floor bath and loo is not wheelchair accessible. So in total, 19 "couchages".
DINING AREAS AND OUTDOOR TERRACES: There is a double picnic table in front courtyard which seats 16, one covered patio with picnic table and a picnic table by the pool. Each kitchen also has a dining table (seating of six to eight). There are two elevated terraces and a very large covered patio in case of bad weather or severe heat/sun.
KITCHENS: The house has two kitchens (three fridges). each fully equipped (gas stove tops) with enough dishes and glassware for 24 settings; the larger kitchen has a dishwasher.
POOL: The pool is large (7 x 13 meters) fully renovated in winter 2017. Salt water chlorinator and set away from the house in its own garden full of native plants that are drought resistant. There are 12 lounge chairs and a picnic table.
We provide all towels (including for the pool) and bedding as well as basics like spices, sugar and flour, cleaning products..... There are clothes washer and dryer (we provide laundry soap), good internet connectivity with wifi available in much but not all of the house due to the 50 cm stone walls.
OFF SEASON: As the barn wing of the house is not heated, during cold months (November through March), the property is a 3BR, 3 bath house with salon and kitchen which can sleep six adults and as many as four children (with single beds distributed in three bedrooms having double beds). Rates are of course lower outside summer high season
