The Space:
Welcome to Middle Halsway Farm, a truly magical retreat nestled on the southern slopes of the Quantock Hills in rural Somerset. Built between 1300–1600, this Grade II listed country home is rich in history and full of character, with breathtaking views stretching across the Quantocks, Exmoor and the Blackdown Hills.
Set within 11 acres of meadows, forest and formal gardens, this enchanting property includes a Medieval thatched barn and Victorian stable block, babbling brooks, an orchard, and a secluded heated outdoor swimming pool (available from April to October). You'll also find a hot tub on the kitchen patio, though this is new so it is not yet photographed. Winding paths and stone walls weave through the grounds, offering space to explore, relax and reconnect with nature. If that wasn't enough, the property also has stables and a paddock for those travelling with horses (enquire for details).
Inside the house, historic features meet stylish design. The five-bedroom layout comfortably sleeps up to 10 guests. Upstairs, discover two king rooms and two doubles, with three rooms sharing a family bathroom, while the master bedroom boasts its own ensuite. A fifth bedroom is located on the ground floor, complete with its own kitchenette and ensuite, ideal for guests seeking privacy or accessibility.
The open-plan kitchen diner is the heart of the home, featuring period details alongside modern convenience. Well-equipped with everything you could need, including an AGA, electric oven, coffee machine and more. Two inviting sitting rooms, both with smart TVs, offer spaces to unwind. Unique artwork and bold interiors are tastefully paired with original beams, fireplaces and leaded windows, creating a unique feel throughout.
Adjacent to the kitchen is a handy porch - perfect for muddy boots and paws. You'll also find a small gym here with a Peloton exercise bike and other work out equipment.
Whether you’re relaxing by the pool, enjoying an evening drink in the garden, or exploring the nearby countryside, Middle Halsway offers a rare opportunity to experience Somerset at its finest.
